I think keeping it upright on water would be a balancing act! With the weight of the trike and you on it, it would be top heavy, right?
They do float across the water. I had a friend that rode one across the one pond at the shop. Yes, he had a hard time keeping it balanced. Can you say LOTS of practice!!

as I remember the Kawasaki ute trikes floated upright. I seem to even remember pics of people w/ paddles(like a canoe paddle strapped to them)
From my experience I know that all the others float great once they have rolled over![]()

My kawie 160 floated just fine. As a matter of fact, my buddies 225dx floated quite nicely too. Very hard to keep balanced, but it's alot of fun to pass your buddies on thier quads that sunk! Of course, we only weighed about 100 lbs back then.
