I have a used fender that was painted. (1981 ATC 110)

Any suggestions on how to clean it up and make it shine like almost new?

I think there are some temporary solutions out there with good results but the only real way to make it look new is to replace them. Check out ebay, they generally run some good deals through there. I have heard of waxing and buffing and you can get some special plastic cleaners at the honda shop that works pretty good also. If you can get the paint off with some thinner instead of sanding it you will have a better shot at making it look decent.

Use paint remover to get the paint off. Then sand the fenders start with 300 grit and work your way up to 2000 grit. I wet sand mine. They will shine like new when done.
