    84-85 t3 with kips

I have a few mods ive been thinking of doing. Can the 84-85 tecate's have the pv top end like the tri z?
Also how hard would it be to put a tecate 4 motor in a 84-85 t3 frame?
And I have a near brand new t4 stator and mag. but all the magnets are bad and the lighting coil has 2 broken wires due to my buddy nut putting the key way on right. Is this repairable? And will the stock t3 mag work with the t4 stator?

The T4 motor won't fit and the Power Valve cylinder won't work on the 85 motor because the 86 pipe exits where the 85's downtube. Some modifications to the frame and you could drop in a complete T4 motor which would be bitchin because the T4 was wicket fast.

Your best bet would be tracking down a Bassani pipe and a DG silencer, port work, reed spacer and carbon fiber reeds, sleeve your cylinder and go for a bigbore kit and with all that power you'll need a high perf clutch.

I believe you should be able to switch around the stator parts.

Something else to remember is that the Tecate-4 motor is a counter-balanced engine. Like BigGreenMachine said, it's would take frame mods to switch to a 2nd generation power-valved KXT or KXF engine.

If I was going to that, I believe I'd try the KXF Tecate-4. You've got to mod the frame anyway. The KXF should be smoother due to the counter balancer and it has a 6-speed tranny. It is the most "evolved" Tecate motor.
