It's best to run 92 in your bike even if it is stock. In my opionion octane helps alot. My 85 250R is pretty much stock and I run 93 octane. When I go to the dunes I mix 93 and 110 50/50 and it makes the bike run much better. It seems to improve the throttle response alot the last time I was there I ran atleast 10 gallons through it because I was there a whole week and I had no engine damage so I think it is ok to say it is safe.
