I messed around with the front forks some more today, and I think I've got things figured out. I've got to cut the dampening rod, re-thread it, and drill an oiling hole in it and add oil in it and one fork will be done. These are shortened 3inches from the standard length CR500 forks that are to long. They are from an 89 model so they are the USD or Inverted cartridge styles, I will have around 9 inches of travel when their done.
I'm gonna hopefully finish up the one tomorrow and get started one the 2nd one. After that I'll work on making a new front axle, making a hub/brake rotor work in conjunction with the CR500 front caliper, and the tripple trees.
Engine doesn't run but I'll have kickass suspension!![]()
