Painting your pipe...

What do you guys use? I've seen silver and aluminum, but not sure which to use...or just plain black. Its an aftermarket pipe, but had surface rust over it, and I sanded it now need to paint it.
I just want something that will hold up and look nice.
Any ideas?
I'd like to powdercoat it, but that can be $$$.

I have recently painted my pipe with some high-temperature paint...it is black, and it is good for 0-1200 Farenheits. It looks pretty good, and I have already tried the 650 Farenheit one...it doesn't last....take the 1200 F one.

I have painted quite a few pipes, and like the black Krylon grill paint it has a little bit of gloss to it. The Rust-oleum doesn't. I just buy it a Wal-mart.

i wouldnt think gloss looks good does it? i have never seen a gloss pipe though...post up some pics of your bike

Don't have a camera. The flat is really hard to get the baked on mud off of.

Ace hardware high temp paint. sanded down cobra and put about 4 good coats on it. check out the classifieds for more pics
