Question Anyone know anything about a 86 Kawasaki 185 3 wheeler.

I think its a KLT? Ran across it today. Never seen or herd of one before. The guy wants 75-100 bucks for it. Ran great until the chain broke. It balled up and took a small chunk out of the case near the sproket. Leaks oil now. Bad. It wasnt ran after the chain broke. Do you guys think this could be fixed? Worth the 75 to 100 bucks? Other than that its in decent shape. Im also getting another trike from him. I havent seen it yet, but he is saying its a 250R. However hes also saying its a 4 stroke. Im thinking its a 200X or 350X. He said it has the sport model setup with a chain and sprocket. $100 for it. Motor needs work. cosmetically not too bad. What do you guys think about the Kawasaki? Should I go for it. I was thinking that I could possibly have the case welded. I wonder if you would have to take the side cover off. And how big of a ordeal that would be.

If it is a 185 it doesn't have a chain. The 185 was made in 1986 and was shaft driven. To me it sounds like a KLT110 or KLT200. Those were chain drive.

Hey Howdy, I checked it out a few hours ago and it was a KLT 110. Im just not sure about a KAW. It has a smal chunk missing from the case infront of the sprocket. And its sat for 2yrs. What do you think?

If its complete, I'd add it to my collection. That case can be fixed in many ways. What year? and does the motor turn freely? If so go for it man!

Yes its complete. Fenders are even in good shape. Rears are faded a bit. The pull start was all unwound and laying on the ground. Not broke just unwound. I pushed it in 2nd gear and it felt like it had compression. I just dont know anything about kawasaki. Just dont know.
