When my buddy use to ride his 200x it would burn through his pants on onto to his leg! What had happend on this bike was it burnt the plastic and to his pants. He decided to tape some foil between the pipe and plastic and it worked like a charm!

yeah my pants got burnt. i was just flyin' along and I had my wind pants on the stator.......burnt a hole right through em.
