    hmm...The choices.....

I want to get a nice Sportish quad(No Banshee's or 400 ex's thought) like a 300ex, or a warrior. Which one is better? Also, what are the pros and cons of a Tecate 4?

Does it have reverse? I think I'd rather have a reverse on one that I get.

I would get the 300ex too. They are bullet proof pretty much. ive gave mine hell. Just have to do normal stuff like oil chaines, chain and sprokets and brakes. Thats all ive done to mine.. still starts right up and it runs good. Warriors are good bikes too. My nieghbor has one. Alittle heavy to me. I cant throw it around like i can my 300ex. His is about 5mph faster on topend but i can take off alittle bit faster. Now with a 14t front sproket i can stay with him sort of.

Also, what are the pros and cons of a Tecate 4?
... well, one "pro" is about 20 mph over the other two.
... one con, one word "maintenence".

It really depends on your size in this case. Both quads are bullet proof, uber-reliable, fun sport machines. The difference will lay in if you're over 6ft tall, the 300EX will be cramped for you. If you're under 5'5', the Warrior will be too big. Same goes for weight. After that some other differences are: The 300EX will out handle the Warrior in most cases but the Warrior is faster in most cases. The after market value of any year 300EX is usually much higher than a Warrior of the same year. While this means you can get a good deal on a warrior, you will lose out on when you go to sell it. (the 300EX is a better investment). Other minor differences include: Hondas link-less shifter is much better than the Warriors unit, the carb on the Warrior is easier to work on for cleaning, the 300EX's shocks can't be rebuilt, the Warriors can. The Warriors two valve engine is easier to adjust the valves on than the four valve 300EX. The 300EX is a lighter machine by a good 20 - 25lbs.

Well thats about it ..... oh, one more thing, why rule out the Kawasaki Mojave 250 or the later Suzuki LT230/250S quadsports?. All great machines. good luck!

The maniability of the 300EX is really good...it is pretty nice, performs good, and it's really fun to ride! I have never ridden a warrior yet, but I heard they are heavier than the average of the other quads.
    Go big or go home!!

I have never ridden either quad, but all the reading I do does NOT speak well of the Warrior. I guess Yamamha never improves anything and they have an archaic air box system and chain tensioning system. Honda on the other hands makes minor improvements every year until they get their stuff perfect.

BUT, the Warrior is being replaced by the Raptor 350. Better suspension, tires, pipe, new designed plastic. It looks awesome, check the new Dirt Wheels for a test.
