I assume you meant the difference between KX250 and T3???

If so, It depends on the year of KX. All KXT250 Tecate 3-wheelers used the "dog-bone" uni-trak system. There are little differences between the 84 and 85 and then between the 84/85 to the 86/87 which has adjustability. On all the models, the shock is mounted in the frame upside down (main body towards bottom of trike, shaft up) and verticle. Above the shock in the frame is a rocker arm, which is pushed and pulled on by the "dog-bone" linkage strut that runs down to the swingarm.

The "dog-bone" system was Kawasaki's first generation of long travel "mono-shock" rear ends. All KX's and KDX's and a few other Kawaski dirt bike models had this same rear end from the end of the double shock rear end days (78 or 79) up until I believe 1987 when they were redesigned to have the shock flipped over, slightly angled and the linkage was moved under the swingarm. Which is the same today. Like the KX the 87 Tecate-4 came out with the under the swingarm linkage where as the 87 Tecate-3 was left with the dog-bone system.

If I remember right, I think the old KX's of the early to mid 80s that used the dog-bone system had longer shocks than the Tecate 3-wheelers. I briefly used the dogbone from an old 83 KX125 I had on my 84 KXT years ago. It bolted right up and is gold anodized aluminum instead of painted gold steel and it looked great! but it was a little longer and that set the rearend up a little too high for me.

You might find some interchangeability from the early to mid 80s KXs and KDXs but not much in KXs 87 and after.
