lt 230 quit!

man, it ran good after a while, then nothing. I assumed low compression from using a used top end and piston. The piston had a ding in it from the exhaust valve, but the valve seems ok. it is closed, and when you push on it real hard, it opens slightly, I figure if its bent, it wouldnt open or be stuck open. I swear I put it together correctly, why would in run, then not? I even had to turn off the switch to get it to stop. Im confused. I just took the cyl down to be rebored, and checking the head, I really didnt see anything wrong..... :?:
