    a few 200x questions

Hey guys I have a 85 200x with a uni filter and no airbox lid, I was looking at putting some new gearing on there for a little more top speed, but i still want to have a good bit of bottom end on tap for when things get sticky. Also I was wandering if rejetting it might pick up a little more performance out of it. As you can tell I am trying to take the cheap route due to money issues cause i am purchasing a vehicle. But i do have a high compression piston and pipe in the near future for my x.

    I appreciate it guys

Gearing would help drop a tooth on the front sprocket or on the back should give you more top end speed.

if you want more top speed then you will need to up the number of teeth on the front sprocket or go down on the back sprocket, going down 4 teeth in the rear is equal to going up 1 tooth on the front sprocket.

... also, if you just took off the airbox lid and didn't rejet, all you did was lean out the mixture and rob yourself of power, you gained nothing.
