    Straight pipe

    If i ran a straight pipe off my header would it burn the valves or anything. Its an 84 200X. I seen and 86 in the classifieds on this site that had a straight pipe comeing out of it.

    No it wont warp or hurt your valves. The only way it will do that is if you run it with no header at all. But why do you want to run it straight. It just makes it incredibly loud and your neighbors mad at you.

    it wont be run around my neighbors but on this old rail road grade where no one lives. Neigbors are already mad at me and my friends because of there dirtbikes.

    Well if they are already mad at you...why piss them off more and mabey have them call the cops on you. Afterall there is no spark arrestor so they could fine you depending on the laws...

    No i never drive by the neighbors with it off and it wasnt my fault. they just said to go by slowly so it wont be loud.

    a straight pipe is never quiet. you're bike wont run worth a damn even if you rejet because you need back pressure.

    I know all this and i know they aint quiet a friend of mine put one on his Z250. I was jsut wondering if it would do anything to the valves.
