This is video taken of a 1000cc Raptor, during the last MWT ride. I just happen to stumble on it at another site. It was recorded by the guys who were with the owner of the beast.
The first shot has me and my 85 in it. Sure I get stomped by the 1000cc beast, but notice the stock raptors about 10 bike lengths behind me. Gotta love seeing that!
The shot where they are all coming back, has smokinwrench in it.

The Banshee that beats the Raptor, is a 400cc Powervalved Cheetah (updated, I posted it was a T rex before) .... needless to say, this guy put over $6,000 in his motor alone!
Also keep in mind, this was the first time to ever test the raptor in sand, and its got the stock swinger. He now has a +12, and is gearing to get more off the line power.

Smokinwrench is at about 1:07 in the video, along with droopie31 following after a bad start. Notice Drew is the only one of us trikers wearing a helmet! Lets hear it for the Helmet Nazis hi-jacking this post now!!!

1:25 is a closer look at both the raptor and my bike. I was trying to figure out what the hell was stomping me so bad!! lol

The rest of the vid is mainly the raptor, and a little smokinwrench here and there.

Thought Id share this, to show more of our dunes, and a killer quad! Not to mention a little manhandling of a few raptors by a 18 year old trike.. lol

yeah, 660 is a Raptor motor. That bike has an R1 motor, straight outta the streetbike. You can see how bad he beats the stock raptors in that first shot. A good 20-25 bike lengths, if not more!

That roost I didnt mind so much,.. I mean come on, how can I compete with that?!! On that weekend, there was that raptor, a Dragged out banshee (the girl riding didnt know what her dad had done to the motor, all I could see was the out of frame drag pipes) and another dragged out banshee running on alcohol that beat me. Those two banshees only beat me by a bike length or two. I didnt race the banshee with the Cheetah in it, although he was wanting to race me ( I guess he needed an ego boost or something, cause it wouldnt of been a race) There was a tricked out YFZ that was right on my tail towards the end of the day, along with a 370cc TRX with an inside frame drag pipe. I handed it to a 330cc TRX with inside drag pipe bad!!! but I think that was the rider. If memory serves, droppie beat him a time or two also.

Im not even sure what a big bore and stroked raptor motor would put out for power, but Im sure its not half of what this one is putting out.
According to the guy, this motor is putting out damn near 160 HP. Stock Raptors dont put out that much HP, and it would take a big bore, with a supercharger, and nitrous to get close to 160 HP.. lol

R1 motors make about 140 i believe and the new generation R1 makes 180. I rode my cousins FZ 1000 which is a detuned R1 motor in an upright seating position frame. I hit 200kph easy and the motor was still pulling. If that is an R1 motor there wont be much in the dunes that will stomp it.

I was wrong,.. its a Yamaha FZR motor. He has mods done to it, and says almost 160 HP right now.
