well i called the guy up to see what the deal was. he said it doesnt even need a topend just a head gasket and it runs awesome, but heres the kicker. its a 85 by the way, he said he has a extra frame, 3 tanks, 2 COMPLETE MOTORS! 2 jugs, 2 heads another set of wheels with new tires, extra swingarm and someother stuff i cant remember. He said I could have it all when i come to pick it up! he said there is basically enough extra parts to almost build a secound one. So i will have alot of extra parts and will take pics when i get it home.He said he did a frame up on it so the frame is freshly painted. Ended up getting it for $390 with all the extra stuff i think thats a damn good deal! Also he said he got it from his friend and just didnt want to mess with it anymore but said his friend has a few other bikes didnt say what alll they weere except for a couple of tecate 4's. ill keep you posted.

north east texas, in a town called Paris about 1 1/2 hours from dallas one my 250r is done and i see whats up with my tecate we should go ridin some time.

Great score man. I'm glad I posted it now. I ment to mention that it didnt need the top end just possibly a bore and some gaskets, but when I e-mailed the guy he didnt mention all the other parts. Turned out to be a better deal than I originaly thought it was. Killer score, keep us up dated. Glad to see a member of this board won it.

cool ill keep you updated, yeah he said just a bore and gaskets and it will fly again, so thats what i will do first. well im fixin to head out to make the 3 hour drive to pick it up ill get pics up tomarrow of all the stiuff i get with it. also thanks for posting it 86250RZ or i might not have ever saw it or had a Tecate.

That is cool. I use to live in Detroit about 15 miles east of Paris. I really miss living down there everyone was very friendly.

yea i drive through detroit every day because i work in clarksville, i got the bike plus a extra frame with front shocks and hanle bars, extra jug and head, extra front forsk, 2 fornt fenders, extra tank, 2 sets of extra rear wheels, 2 extra front wheels and tires, 2 rear shocks, swing arm, axle, carb, and misc motor parts, iextra exhaust. Ill keep you update and pics tomarrow imm allitle tipsy right now so im out to bed!!!!!
