    New guy here

Great forum! Glad I found it. Been shreading up the south half of Florida for
the last twenty years in a one ton Chevy 4x4 as well as some homebuilt mud buggys. All my buds got new Vinsons and got me hooked on 30MPG .

I always enjoyed 3 wheelers since they came out and all most killed my self on a crazy no brakes 185s years ago, so I decided to go with Honda again.

Bought a 83 250r from a friend, it lasted ten minutes before throwing the rod bearing. What an awesome machine, it had a fresh top end with the piston in backwards. I love it, have a comp gasket set, crank & rod from ebay and some other stuff on the way for it.
I wonder if it will be even faster with the piston pointing the right way.

Not to be stopped I found a guy selling a 81 200s with giant ballon tires for $300. He threw in a spare 185s motor. Even with gas pouring out of the carb this thing is unstoppable! I climbed a tree in my backyard all the way up and rolled back off with out flipping it over. It is a winner, and will show those four wheel bastards a few old tricks I think. The damn pull starter broke 30 minutes into this one, so I took it apart. That was a mistake. Well see if duct tape helps get that damn spring in. Easy to push start so no big deal I suppose.

Driving home yesterday I encountered another 84 200s totally stock with cool gold rims. Guy wanted $800 and took $500 Threw in 3/4 of another 200s and a fresh carb.
This one is fun as hell with the smaller tires, spent three hours tearing up my backyard in the rain while dodging junk sideways and almost ending up in the pool. It climbed the tree as well, but it didn't turn out like I planned. I won't be showing that trick off at lost lake this weekend.

Sorry for the rambling, but no one else I know cares. My chick is pissed about all of the 3's that showed up over the last month and I can't ride until tommorow. I hope she stays out of the back until the grass grows back. LOL
Somehow I doubt it ever will.

    See ya round..

Wow, another South Floridian! I'm use to live down thereand still have alot of family in Homestead.

If you've been out to the glades much you probably know where the "Loop Road" is. I lived there till I was about 7 and then we moved up here to Live Oak cause of the fricken Park Service...

Anyways, welcome to the forums! There are alot of other people on here from the South Florida area as well, maybe they'll chime in.

I know loop road well. I love the Naples area and visit the squares, golden gate area as often as possible. I've even worked on the park service office off of loop road. They kicked you out when they made the park? Sounds like you might have got lucky, Live Oak looks like a cool place too me.

Hey, I don't really know. It's an 81 and a 200. It doesn't have shocks on the front like the 84's and the fork spread seems wider. Came with a cool rifle rack on the front, and a giant hog rack on the back.

My dad owned about a 1,000 acres out there a loooong time ago back before they made it a park. He sold all of it to them but 5 acres, which he built a shop and our house on. I don't know if you've been down there recently, but the last driveway where the new pavement stops on the left hand side is the one that goes up to our old place. They have some kind of electrical check station in my dads old shop now from what I'm told.

They didn't exactly kick us out, but the level harassment that we were getting from the constant helicopter fly overs and them hovering above your house will your trying to sleep at 3:00AM in the morning was just getting where we all really had ill feelings for the park service and all associated with it....

Wow, I can't even imagine how awesome that must have been. I would hack off my left nut for 100 acres out there!
Seems as if round two is brewing with the park service now, I hope everything stays the same, but from what I understand they really want to change the water flow across 41. It might be good, but change is almost never good for this hobby.
