    250R ? How can you tell the diff.

    between a thumb throttle cable vs twist throttle cable. The reason I ask is because I bought a 39mm carb with throttle cable, the guy said he thought it was for a twist throttle. With it connected to the carb the cable will travel only about 2" when I pull on it. If it was for a twist wouldn't the cable be a little longer? any help would be appreciated.

    Yes the Cable is longer....At least that is what I found out on my Z...A friend of mine has the PWK 39mm on his Z and the Stock Yamaha Cable wont pull the slide up all the way....He went with the 85R stock thumb and cable and it works fine....Probably doesnt pertain to you but I thought I would throw it in there anyway Hope I helped ya alittle...And sorry if I didnt...
