its not hard on the clutch, its hard on the gears and shift forks, im sure you will get alot of people replying "ohhh i do it all the time, i hardly ever use my clutch except for taking off in first, i never had any problems" ....... my advice, DONT listen to these people, there is a clutch for a reason, use it or face the consequences in the future.
Give me no lip and I tell you no lie.

I'd have to completely agree 100% with that. The clutch is engaged and not using it will cause little or no wear to it .... HOWEVER .... not using the clutch will cause your shift forks to bend, burn the gear collars to the shafts, chip the gears and eventually destroy your transmission.Originally Posted by 85ATC250R

Thats right...the clutch is there for a reason! The only time I would shift without the clutch was if I was wheelieing and needed to shift. Other than that....my foot dosent touch the shifter without my hand on the clutch.
