I dont know much about the 84 200xs. But i had the same problem on my rear 86 brake. Every time i would use the brakes the pisten woundnt come back so i went through a couple of pairs of pads." i should of figured after they were gone in 2 rides "I took it apart sanded the edges of the pistin bought all new seals and its been working since. But my guess is that some sand or durt go stuck in the seal so it cant come back. But also you might want to check your fluid. If its dirty that means stuff is getting in.
