    Idle Problem '83 Honda 185s

    The atc starts right up, but idles very high when sitting and choke is all the way down and when it is in any gear. When you go from gear to gear it seems that it is receiving gas but I am not on the throttle. I played with the screw on the carb. with no success. I also looked for the screw on the throttle cable but do not know where it is located.

    Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

    If the idle screw doesn't do the trick,unscrew the throttle valve (top of carb),
    and make sure it is sliding up and down easily.If not,hit it with wd40.When you put it back,it only goes in one way so don't force it. You also may want to check the throttle cable making sure it isn't pinched or binding somewhere.
