Thumbs up Woods test of 450R muffler on 350X.....

I finally took my X out for some SERIOUS woods riding this morning/afternoon.
    The 450R muffler performed PERFECTLY.
    It's QUIET!
And sounded just like my brother's new TRX450R...imagine that!

I am thoroughly convinced that the bike lost NO power whatsoever with this swap, compared to the obnoxiously loud no-name pipe the bike HAD.

My mounting held up with NO problems.
The riding I did today would have jarred something loose if it was going to come loose, BELIEVE ME!

It sure is nice being able to hear yourself think while riding.
Loud is cool.....for about the first 10 minutes.....

    Overall? Two Thumbs Up.
    Couldn't be happier.

    There you go!

Does it look like it'll fit okay on the 200X?

It fit like it belonged there....on my 350X.

Post some pics when you're done!

    Good luck!

Glad to see that it held up for you! If I ever get a 350X, I will have to try your idea (or try a WB E-Series universal muffler)

There were so many "Kodak moments" out there, I was kicking myself for NOT taking my camera BUT.....
The only cam I have is my razzle-dazzle digital and I wouldn't DARE take that thing out on the trail.

The woods were in peak form yesterday so there were many shots that would have looked awesome as a picture.

My friend just got a CRF450 and its the loudest thing ive ever heard..Its got a BBR pipe on it.. I keep telling him to put the stock muffler back on but he thinks doing that will take away tons of power..Your 350x proves to me he shouldn't lose much at all..

Wrong! He'll lose power. Put that stocker back on and you'll wonder what happend to the rest of his bottom end. A 450 breaths a lot more than a 350X. That's why the stock 450 silencer does so well on the 350X.

Exactly.....an aftermarket exhaust is meant to give you more power. And added noise is a drawback to this....but most people think that its OK as long as they are getting the power they want. You could suggest for him to get a quiet core insert for it though.

Well i figured he would lose something but its a freaking 450 lol how much power do you really need?..He only been riding for a few months..His parents bought him a CRF230 for his 20th birthday and after a few weeks he didn't like it so he traded it in on the 450..My only trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro about it is ITS SO FREAKING LOUD!! When hes riding that thing it makes my 250R sound like a 110 LOL......If my mom and dad bought me a CRF230 when i was 20 i would of been pissed

Thumbs up My pipe is from a TRX450R.....

    Not a CRF....
    Thought I'd better clarify that.

    It's plenty quiet, folks.
Has a fantastic DEEP, smooth sound when you're on the throttle but certainly NOT loud at all.

If you get a chance to hear a TRX450R, my bike sounds just like it.
