    float level

Here is a stupid question but how do you adjust the float on a 85 tri-z carb and what is the stock setting? If the setting is wrong will it cause tto foul plugs? I am having trouble fouling plugs, my main jet size is stock 470 and my needle clip is stock on the 3rd notch, what is my problem?

Get a ruler with mm's on it,then measure from the carb body to the end of the float.

i still think its just running rich from what you say...you can tell if the floats are too high by putting the bike on levle ground and turning the gas on...if gas starts comin out of a little tube comin out of the bottem of the carb...the over flow..you know there 2 high..i run my trike at the leanest notch and it runs great..it all depends on the elavation that your on ...the stock settings are for where ever in japan they made it lol..just try movin the clip up 1 by 1 untill it stops foulin plugs just my 0.2 cents

No gas is running out of the tube. I will try moving the clip up 1 notch to the 2nd groove.
