    85 200s - How to tighten chain?

G'day, my chain on my 200s is very loose. So loose it wore all the front teeth on my front sprocket. How do you tighten this chain? There is no chain arm to tighten the chain and the axle don't move am I missing something? Thanks for your help in advance.

you have to loosed the four bolts on the inside of the axel...you can see them from standing faceing the back of it in the 4 cornors of the mounts...loosen em slide the axel back untill the chain tightens then tightn the bolts back up again...and you will have to get a eye bolt teninor for the bottem left bolt or it will keep comeing loose

Waiting for a new chain, had to remove a link and then the chain wouldn't fit.
But after wrenching on the 200s have the chain tighter all figure out, thanks for asking.

i found the easiest way to tighten that sucker when u get them bolts loose...get a medium sized monkey wrench and tighten it on and just pull..it works great and somehow stays in place so u can tighten the bolts back up after u move it...i had to weld mine in place tho...all the bolts and holes stripped somhow..so i put the bolts in place to keep it straight then welded the axle carrier to the frame and the bolts to the frame..hasnt move ever since..and i used a fluxcore welder!

well..ill tell you the welding is gona come back and bite you in the ass..after a wile becuse welds dont have as much flex as a bolt..it might be worth your wile later to get a heli coil and fix the striped holes..actually..they all have nuts on the back of them that should be welded..so if you find nuts and new bolts..i would suggest fixing it the right way ..or its gona leave you started in the middle of no ware with a loose ass chain and axel..just my 02. cents :P
