My timeing jumped a link or two about 3 days ago and when i put a wrench on the crank shaft bolt and try to get the cam off the cam moves the chain and the chain moves around the crank shaft sprocket and i dont remeber it doin this before. Is this normal or is my crank shaft sprocket goin to hell?

It's hard to tell from your discription of whats happening. I would say that the lower sprocket is worn out. I would remove all three pieces for inspection and if any are worn out replace all three.

Take the 2 caps off the stator cover and take the sdi unit out so you can see the cam sprocket and turn the crank to top dead center and thereis a little cicle on the cam shaft sprocket and ilign that with the V mark on the rocker cover.
Could my chain not be tight enough that its couseing this????

sounds like the bolts broke on the bottem sprocket or the gear is toast..

Ok i think me dad and i got it fuguared out we think the one of the owners before me put a different timing chain on so we are gonna put the new chain i have one it sunday night and see if it does the trick.
