It seems like all they did was change the front clip and add a reverse and a higher price tag. It says they changed the gear ratio to .

I was more hoping for a 650 sport quad.

The old noise looks better then the new 450R wannbe.

That nose looks stubby but on the 450 it looks better with the more argessive front fenders.

I'm suprised they didn't upgrade the front shocks. For the money I don't know why anyone would buy an 05 400ex over the 05 z400. The Z recieved many quality upgrades and not just cosmetic (other than reverse) like the ex.

.... The only problem I really have with it is - what is it supposed to be competeing against in the market place for market share?. You seriously couldn't compare it to the new Raptor 350 - it would be a joke to consider it to be in the same class performance wise and the Raptor 350 is a thousand dollars less. I would say the Raptor 350 is really in with the Mojave and the 300ex. The Z400/KFX400/DVX are supposed to be in the same "racer" class as the new 450's for now - but - when the new 450 comes out, will they discontinue the 400's?. It seems that the lines are starting to get "blurred" I guess when it comes to classifying ATVs anymore. It used to be Sport or Utility and that was it - now, forget it. I'm really interested in seeing the new XR650 based open classer they are supposed to be comming out with.

I hate the 450r front end looks, they just look weird. Why did honda wait this long to put a reverse gear on the ex? I would rather have a z/kfx/dvx, they have liquid cooling.
