I have a 36mm flat slide khien on mine.I had to work at it a little to make it fit the boot, but it's in there. And when it's not getting pluged with tank film,it works great.

    Tri-z Carb Help

    HI

first : you can find a boot for it 250 86 or 87 intake boot, has bigger inlet and you do not have to loose the boost bottle.

second : you can loose the boost bottle and buy a boyesen rad valve for a 89 wr250 has same bolt pattern.then you can use all most any carb you want flat side d-slot.
thrid : you can buy a proformance carb for a blaster .they have the same inlet size as the tri-z.but only seen round style.
vito's has a dial a jet carb.it works great but it's hard to get been on backorder awhile.
    i hope this helps you?

I got a replacement from Dennis Kirk when I rebuilt my yellow tri-z. Look in the carb section, and order the 32 mm mikuni round spigot carb. The only difference is the choke is setup a little differently, (has a lever instead of a knob), and all you need to do is put the right jets in, (if you dont know what they are, I have an 85 manual, just ask me), and you will need a 1.5 needle valve, and that is it, the price is about $110 plus shipping, maybe less, I forget.
