1985 200x rear master cylinder help

    Hey guys,

A friend of mine picked up a 200x on saturday pretty clean, but the rear master cylinder is bad. We tried and tried to get the rear brakes working properly via bleeding and all of that other good stuff. We came to the conclusion that the master cylinder is bad. Can anyone tell me where to get a rebuild kit, or what are the options available for swapping one out from a different trike or a quad ?

    Thanks Newbie 350x

You can get the seals for the master cylinder from Honda. Thats what I did when I rebuilt mine.

Was there any fluid or air comming out of the bleeder? Before looking for mastercyclinder rebuild kits take the bleeder out and make sure its not plugged. If air and fluid then come out and they still don't work the piston might be froze in the caliper and not squeezing the disk. Then you'd probably need new o rings in the caliper and possibly a new piston if the old one is pitted.
