    spyware

Thank's for the reply guy's.Yesterday I seen jason200x had 83-85 200x stuff for sale so I clicked on his my ebay stuff ,and low and behold it was mine.So I went and clicked on it a couple time's and same thing it was definely my "my ebay"For people who don't know you need a password to get on it.Or a direct link he posted my direct link on,in his ad for stuff for sale.I never give that info to anyone so he definely has spyware! also I seen he had the same ad on 3wheeler org.I since reused my spyware and I don't see the ad anymore.Ebay e-mailed me and someone tried stealing other info from me on ebay but it was blocked. So do you trust jason200x I don't know?

Tho only "spyware" you are dealing with are the cookies from your ebay account which keep you signed in when you check the little box to do so. He posted a link to "my ebay" which simply doesnt work, because it takes you to the "my ebay" section for whoever happens to be signed on to each individual computer. In other words, when I click on his link, it shows MY auctions, or Im prompted to sign in and it shows my auctions. His ad was removed anyways for posting multiple and duplicate ads in the classifieds.
As for the email supposedly from Ebay saying somebody has tried to gain access to your account, I hope you didnt actually use the link and type in your information, because they ARE a scam. I get two or three a day. Any email supposedly from Ebay that is not you standard bid, winner, or end of auction notification should be forwarded to spoof@ebay.com. You will get a replay shortly afterwards stating whether or not it originated from ebay.

I got one just the other day too saying someone was using my account to place bids and such. If that was the case then I would see it in my bidding area or if they won , in that area too. So they are all scams. Do not reply to the link nor send any info to them. If you notice when you click the link it just goes to an http:// address and not a https://. The S means that is a secure site and requires info to log in where the other does not. Send the email to ebayspoof and they will investigate it..........peace

Now that this fear has been ( or should be ) put to rest:

After being a eBay'r for many years I got a email that said: "Congratulations on your first eBay Motors purchase!". I thought scam!!! So I sent it to spoof@ebay.com.
    The reply back said
    Hello,

    Thank you for writing eBay.

The message you received was an official email message sent on behalf of
eBay. This message was sent because you indicated in your preferences
that you wished to receive these types of messages.

WTF??? They missed my first eBay purchase by 5 years and about 150-200 buys. I guess it's better late then never. lmfao
