Ok guys,
I have the Clark gas tank on my 350X. It was a bit faded and yellowed, and stained with old gas. So i took some 250 grit paper and started sanding it down. I have gotten all of the stains off and some of the yellowed look that this white tank had. It looks much better. My question is this. Should I continue to sand the tank down until all of the yellowed part is gone? Do you think its yellowed all the way thru the plastic or just on the outer portion or surface of the tank. I dont wont to sand my eyeballs out for nothing. I know that if I can get all the yellowed part off, I can polish this thing up like a new penney. But again I dont wont to do it for nothing. Has anyone done a white tank before? Any tips or insight would be appreciated. I saw a post of where one guy did his red 250R tank and it came out nice. Will I have the same result with some effort.
