    Carburator leaking gas

    Help me and my friand took off my inline filter and now there is a hose that leaks on the bottom of the carburator, it doesn't do it when the gas is off only when its on I need HELP.. and it doesn't lead anywhere is it supposed to? whats wrong?

    the hose is for overflow,it dosnt connect to anything,sounds like you may need a carb rebuild kit or at least needle and seat.

    When you took the filter off a small piece of dirt probibly went down the line and stuck on the float needle therefore stopping it from sealing.
    You could try tapping the side of the carb with the end of a HANDLE with the gas turned on and see if that stops it, or the best way is to remove the carb and clean the seat and needle valve.

    those older carbs are very tricky. If you are not careful when you put them back on the float sticks a bit. When you take them apart make sure it is seating ok and just be careful. Everytime I took mine off it leaked I would have to do it twice every time.
