    250sx timing question

    new to this sx. Anyone got a pic where the timing adjustment procedure is on it?
    I am waiting on my manual

    My Clymer manual states "Timing can be adjusted on the 200cc engines, but not on the 250cc engines.

    To check timing you need to remove both caps on the alternator cover. Have the engine idle at 1300-1400rpm Aim the timing light at timing windo and it should light up the F with the timing mark.

    On 250cc models if timing is incorrect, test the CDI unit and the pulse generator.
