is a tri moto worth a top end and a pull starter

i got one given to me. it has no cracks in the plastic and is complete minus the pull starter. when i finally got around to messing with it there was zero compression so i thought it had thrown the rod. well i pulled the pipe to see the piston. the ring area between the rings had collapsed. it would take a bore, gaskets, pistons, and rings to put it on the trails again. the problem is that i really dont like the bike and i have no use for it. i have my 250r and the next thing i want is a 350x. what to so now

how do i tell the year?

Id say its worth to restore to sell or let it sit around in the garage. All that stuff is cheap, its just some labor involved.

    175 worth it?

I own one, two actually. one's in parts. In my opinion it would definately worth it.Picture this , the trike you own is a two stroke 175 cc which weighs approx. 225 lbs with a full tank of gas, acceleration is amazing. If you've never ridden a two stroke trike, i'de say,get it running, ride it for a day and if you don't like it, sell it. i'm sure you'll make your money back.they're not really good in bogs, or in rough terrain, (no suspension),but if you know of any smooth roads , trails, etc.wind it up and let it scream, it's quite an adrenaline rush trust me.

Your bore, piston and rings, will run you $150-$200. Is the pullstarter missing, or just the rope broken?
