New Toy: 86 250R

Well I am the proud new owner of an 86 250R. I just picked it up tonight. It is all original except for the exhaust with is a DG. Runs like a champ...didn't realize the difference between my X and this new R. WOW! Just wondering, what is something like this worth?

86 R's are worth a good good chunk of change. Ive seen them for upto $2300 here locally. On Ebay thats aboutt he normal price, $1900 to $2500.

Surpising, like 350X's, 86/87 200X's, Big Red 250ES's and 86/87 Tecates.....86 R's hold their worth. As do 85's in the right conditon.

Well I am proud to say that I gave 1200 for it. It is all original except for the +2 Westcoast swingarm and DG pipe. The thing still has all the original stickers, seat, plastic, and is quite a looker. I will send pics soon. It starts first kick, warm or cold and boy does it screem. It does need a front fender, and radiator cowlings. Other than that...sweet. Not bragging, just very excited, been looking for an 85 or 86 for quite awhile.

That sounds like a very nice trike. I cant wait to see some pics. :-P I have been looking for '86 atc250r or '86 350x but I only have about $600. I probably need to double that for a good cond. one though.
