What do I need to do to put a YT175 head on a YT125? can I just swap the head and get a new carb? Will the exhaust fit? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions. Who has done this? I just want to know what I would need to buy and do. Thanks

You can't put a yt175 head on a yt125 .The 125 has 4bolt's and 175 has 6 bolts.You would have to change the whole cylinder and piston with the head.Than a larger carb, the 125 has a stock 22mm and 175 has 24mm.Then you would need the pipe from a 175 because a 125 won't bolt on.Does this point you in the right direction.

Well, by the head I mean cylinder and piston. Is that what you are saying? And yes, that is what I was looking for. It is what I was thinking, but wanted conformation before I started to buy. If I have to buy parts anyways why not make it larger....right

Yes,you need a whole topend with a pipe from a 175 to bolt on the 125.
