running rich
if it is running rich how do you get the carb.to burn leaner
i'm not really 100% sure you'll have to wait for someone expeienced in this department to come accross this post,i'm to the point that if i ever have anymore carb troubles the bikes goin to the shop....
it could be needing the air filter cleaned if its not real sooty. i would say go to a leaner set of jets.

sounds like it's running rich. #1, set your mixture leaner.
the screw that's inlade into the carb, to the left of your idle screw, lean the mixture (more air, less gas) turn to the right. i'd start with half turns and work from there.
#2 your air filter is clogged and not getting enough air, causing your carb to run rich, clean the filter.
hope this helps you out some.![]()
