    spark arrestor.

    Quick question about this.

On the very end of the exhause pipe is a cap that is normally held in place with a screw ( Mine is not there, but it holds on.. i have not yet tried to remove it )

does this need to come off once in a while.. and what are the results of not removing it for extended periods of time ?

I need a frickin manual.. if only people were not retracting their items... argh.

84 big red 200 es btw.

The "spark arrestor" part of an exhaust is the steel screen. They do start to get clogged with carbon, and its a good idea to periodically remove them and clean them. The best method for cleaning carbon from a spark arrester screen is a propane torch and a wire brush.
