Should I soad my new clutch discs overnight in oil.

Should I soad the friction discs overnight in oil? This is what I have herd you should do. The instructions with the kit says wipe them with oil and install them. Then it says to slip the clutch for a few seconds after its installed to sling the excess oil off. What the best way to do it. This is going in my 350X. THanks

Yes, make sure you soak them. I did as directions suggested (for 350X) and ended up buying new clutches within 2 weeks.

Yes you should. A couple hour bath is fine.

I let mine sit in oil for an hour (while I ate lunch during the repair).
They worked out great.

A new clutch sure makes riding a LOT more fun.

Thanks for the help. So should I soak it for a few hours or overnight? Sorry about my typing skills. I got one of those new Dell widescreen laptops and the keyboard is really spread out more than normal. Keys are further apart. Makes typing fun. LOL

I soaked mine overnite and installed them the next morning, clutches have never worked better.

Ok Old School. LOL. I read that, but I have also been told overnight. So what do you do. I dont wont to screwup, if you know what I mean. I guess I will do it for a few hours.

lol, I'm just bustin your balls. If you want to soak them all night it won't hurt a thing. Now for what has worked good for me is:

do you have to do this befor you install clutch pads on a honda centriff clutch like on my atc 90..i have some on order i kinda fked it up last time and there toast..lol

Yes, they have to be soaked before the install.
