Does the DG cool head work well for the R?

Im looking for a dg coolhead for my 84 250r. does any one have one. i d like to know how well of a job they do before I splurge on ebay for one.

talk to trikeaholic and blazerone on here, both of them have them on air cooled R's, not sure about anyone else. do you mean the gold finned head, or DG's "water cooled" head they offered back then? i see the gold finned ones sell on ebay every once in awhile, have never even seen one of the other types.

I have one on my '83 R, Doesn't make a huge difference, but it looks neat. Their's one on Ebay right now, Buy it now $165.

well if it doesnt make much of a difference ill just stick to my 300cc kit. i was worried about not being able to find a piston for it but my buddy going to a machining school so ill get one done then. for a $165 ill just buy a pipe. i bought an 84 R with a 300kit and everything else is stock. (go figure) maybe a pipe will make come more to life
