My original swing arm skid was trashed on my last ride....time for an upgrade/replacement.
Since I refuse to pay the stupid prices people are paying for old, used stockers on Ebay, I needed a little ingenuity.
Soo.....I borrowed an aftermarket TRX250X aluminum skid from a friend and test-fitted it the other day.
It was VERY close, requiring only one hole to be drilled at the rear mount.
So I ordered a new one from my bike shop across the street (doesn't get more convenient than that!!).
I haven't taken it out on the trail for "The Test" but it fits GREAT.
I don't have a brand name yet but the shop is supposed to get that for me soon.
Part Number: AT-04213
Fits: '91-01 TRX250X and TRX300EX
I'll update when I get a chance to beat on it a bit: SUNDAY!
$74 with tax.
P.S. Before anyone asks....don't worry, that muffler is FAR away from the rear tire....the camera angle makes it look close. Stock TRX450R mufflers are an easy/inexpensive 350X replacement/upgrade!

, I bought one off of ebay for like 50-60 bucks it was a UM 300ex skid plate for the swinger. It looks good, only one hole to drill, and its holding up very well. It doesn't have a chain guide, but it does have protection so that the chain doesn't hit the skid plate.
