9 inch wheels and 4/156 bolt pattern

I'm lookin for a nice set of wheels and tires for my 85 Tecate. I was hoping for 8 inch wheels but they wont fit.

I'm not sure but I guess 9 inch wheels wont fit the 4/156 bolt pattern right?

I got 10" ITP T9's in 4/156 for my Tecate and they look sweet. I dont think they do 9"

the 9" will not fit the stock 85 hubs either. what you need is a set of 84 hubs, then you can use 8 or 9" wheels. they are always on eby and should cost less than 25 a set

I think you can go with the 9inch wheel rought. the 4x156 bolt pattern is used by polaris and is the same as a 4/4. they make 9inch wheels for my scrambler and I beleive the new predator comes with 9 inch wheels in the back.

ahh...you failed math didn't you. since when is 4" equal to 156mm? ok 1" is equal to 24.5 mm mutltply that by 4 and you come up with 156? wrong. the newer polaris' are different than the old ones. trust me, i know tecates. you need the 84 hubs for installing anything smaller than 10" on a 84 or 85 tecate

I have a Durablue wheel spacer catalog and it list all the hub sizes. Your 85 tecate has 4x156 right? According to this, these rear wheels have the same hub pattern: 87-04 Mojave/Lakota, Polaris Predator 500, and 89-90 Banshee

the durablue catalog is correct. but you still can't use a 4x156 pattern tecate hub on any wheel smaller than a 10" (it is too large on the back side to fit the smaller wheel) early banshee's have 10" rear wheels btw( stock 10"unless they have been changed to later stuff)

well I didn;t fail math, and my stock rims are 4/156. I bolted up a set of carlisle 8x8inch trailer wheels a while back that were listed as 4x4 and they fit like a glove. so who knows. they wear off an ez go golf cart.

4/4 or 4x4 he is refering to is the offset of the wheel. 4 inches inside/4inches outside.
