As far as the Quadzilla motor....yes its a fast son of trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro if its running right. My Zilla is stock with a Bill's pipe and in mint shape...its is way way way faster than any 250R I have ever ridden...its not even close. Its also a very large motor and its doubtful that it would fit.

Hey Darius-
Ive watched Quadzillas on ebay for years now and I'm thinking of making one my next project. Did you buy your Quadzilla that clean or did you restore it like the TriZ? Is it pretty reliable?
Thanks, and BEAUTIFUL atv's by the way

It was clean like that when I bought it and it has few hours.
The motors on these are really amazing...it is like night and day compared to my Tri z. The motor ripppppps.
Mine is reliable because its not abused. If I rode it all the time and abused it then it may give me trouble.
I ride mine like once a year or less. Its just too powerful to ride around anywhere.
Thanks for the compliment.
I am going to put a modern YZ 250 motor in my Tri z and see how it works out. I would also consider putting a 500 motor in it if its possible...but I have my doubts.

if you can put a cr 500 engine in an atc 250 r then im sure it can be done to a tri-z
looking for a TRI-Z 250 to restore at the moment
LONG LIVE THE 2 STROKES !!!
Sounds like a cool project with any of those motors. Anyone on here seen that tri-z with the kawi 1100cc its under extremely modified atvs.

Suzuki had an air-cooled RM500 in the early 80s. Yamaha had the WR500 in the early 90s. It was just a new name for the YZ490 motor with a wide ratio transmission.
There's been a guy here posting pics before who had a YZ490 motor in a Z.
tmecars, the guys that turned me on to the atc70 you purchased had a QuadZilla for sale a couple months ago. You might call and ask if they still have it.

KTM 550 beats all the open class motors.
No contest. Here is a quote from Dirt Bike back in 1993:
"the KTM550 makes a KX500 seem like it has Dom Delouise stuffed in the airbox".

Yes, Suzuki did make an RM 500. The CR will be most reliable, the KX will be the most powerful, i would personally just leave the Suzuki alone, because i think the last RM 500 they made was like in 85.
How about a KTM 550 2 stroke water cooled,I had the MXC dirt bike in a 95 year model and It was brutal. Air cooled motors would probably be easier to get in there . You can usually find some open bikes that are pretty decent shape that are pretty old since alot of people cant use the power the things put out.
Welcome brother I have a '94 KTM 550. It walks over any other open classer. These folks have no idea!!!
