    ideas for exhaust seal???

I have cleaned up my T3 quite a bit and don't want to get gunk all over the underside of my bike anymore. What can I use to seal up the union between a DG silencer and a DG pipe? The OD of them are 1 1/8 and 1 7/16. What would you try??? The stock one didn't fit when I did the switch and a stock banshee one was too small to fit around the silencer. I called DG and they said it is a slip fit and doesn't need a clamp. Ideas??
