how do i shine up my cylinder head cover??

i want to make my machine look pretty much new, this winter im sandblasting the frame, racks, forks, and painting them, the only thing im wondering about is how to shine up the cylinder head covers,(parts with the fins on them), i was thinking of using steal wool or wet sanding, got any good ideas??

all i did was go to the gas station and pressure wash the entire engine just be sure to shove a rag or sumthing in the exhaust and carb intakes and the tranny vents.
