87 200x parts

Hello out there!
I just got back into the community after a five year hiatus. I had a cherry 86 200x until I let a "friend" ride it and he let it fall off of a cliff. Needless to say, I got rid of it. Last week, I came across an 87 200x in pretty good shape and snagged it up. The guy selling it had no idea what he had. I'm going to restore it to as close to factory as possible. I can find nearly everything I need except for a gas tank. Anybody know where I might find one? Thanks!

You have a VERY rare trike there man, I'm not sure about parts for the 87's but I'd say most likely through vintage motorsports, he has an 87 200x as well.

i have a tank its a 86 but their the same it dont leak gas and has a couple dents i know you looking mint but this one could be with some work

You can get parts for the 87 they are the same as the 86. Ebay should have a tank in pretty good shape for sale.

Thanks for the feedback! I've looked on eBay and found tanks to fit '83 to '85's but no '86's or '87's. I seem to think there is a difference between the '86 and '87 tanks but maybe I'm wrong. I'm working on a couple local contacts to see what they turn up. Xowner, what would you want to sell that '86 tank for? Thanks again!

P.S. It has the keyed ignition.
