    Oil Leak

on my ytm, there is a pretty bad oil leak. I am not the greatest mechanic when it comes to engines and i was wondering if in one of those sevice manuals, does it tell you how to change the seals? And if i were to do it myself, is it that hard? Also, what kind of performance loss soes this cause?

What the hell happened? Why is it that color? Try buying a complete gasket set and put that in but it does requre a good bit of skill.

looks like you need to replace the O-rings. one on the timeing cap and one on the dip stick.

it looks like someone replaced the seals a long time ago, there is a red bead of that gasket maker that is sticking out and a lot of what was showing came off when i washed it with the pressure washer, also, if you look close, you can see the drive shaft is completly covered
