not even a comparsion....a 350x is for racing/fast trail riding with gobs of power and great susupension.the sx is just a play trail bike with decent suspension but more towards utility then racing.I would compare a 250sx with a 200x(the 200x is still better then the sx tho.)

Well the SX is a utility trike with alittle bit sportier suspension. Its a fun all around trike that can hit most trails nicely. It not meant for MX tracks or sand drags but its one of the best all around trikes out there. Add some racks and a hitch and you have a big red with nice suspension. Now the 350x is just a moster 4 stroke machine. Its got tons of torque and one of the best hardcore trail rider. It has tons of power, wheelies like man and just really fun. It just depends on what you are planning to do with the trike you buy. If you will want it to work and play then the SX is what you want. If you want a very dependable sporty fast trike then 350x has all you need.

I have both, and ride both regularly.

The 350X is my play in the sand trike. It is fast and fun.

The 250sx is know at my house as a "tractor trike". I have a hitch on all of them and use them to haul a cart or pull things. I also like to ride the sx in the tight trails around my house were the 350X is too much.

I would hate to have to pick only one, bucause they both have there uses.

I can only afford one toy at a time at the moment, and don't have the time for more than one really.

But, what I love to do with mine is play in the mud (deeper the better) and on trails, pop a few wheelies, and go fast. Occasionally, I could see myself driving myself to the deerstand on it, but not often. If I need to pull a deer out, I could always hook up my 3-wheeler trailor to the trike and pull it out with either one.

So, looking at that.... what do ya think?

Hows the 350 do in the mud? If its not worth a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro in some mud, then it ain't the trike for me.

I would go with the sx....
Shaft drive(No chain to fall off in the mud)
    reverse(in case you get stuck
    trailer hitch(to haul a deer)
    quiet(when in the woods)
    auto clutch
    front and rear racks
    84 Honda Big Red w/plow
    85 Honda 200X
    88 Honda CR 125
    86 350x(in process of building)

I own both and would say taht they are both awsome. The 250 is great casue of the shaft drive and reverse. It has plenty of power, decent suspesion, and can handle pretty much anything on the trail. The 350x is a monster, maybe its jsut cause my dad has it bored to like 480 or sumthin. but yea that thing is fast, andhas awsome suspension, wider axel, and big time power. It really comes down to what are u looking to get it for, sand drags, or dune riding, go with the 350x, if trailprotrailpro doing work and want sumthing u can still have fun wiht go wiht the 250sx.

The SX is like a sportier version of the Big Red and is suited for utility or just playing around.
The X is made for racing and doesn't like going slow.

250SX good things: auto clutch, electric start, racks

350X good things: fast, great suspension
The X also has a kick starter only and it can be good(build up your right leg real quick) or bad(burn you out and make you mad that it wont start after it is good and warmed up).

Just remember the 350X has a manual clutch, if this is a problem then you will want the 250SX.

Damn thats alot of pros and cons.... I love my SX, don't get me wrong, but the power & Speed of the 350x is so desirable as well. Hmmm..... looks like I'm gonna just have to save up some cash so that I can have both. Thats the only logical answer that I can see.

Why doesn't a 350x like to go slow? I can't see that unless one had a really high lift cam installed or something. Heck I was towing my riding mower around the yard with mine the other day LOL. The 250sx is obviously better suited to towing and such though.

I have both and the 350x, well what can I say, its a beast . If you want a trail rider I would say the 250 over the 350 only because trail riding is hard on the clutch if you are inexperienced. The 350 is much more fun riding if you want to go fast and do not need reverse. Oh yeah the 350x has no reverse but who neds it? It turns on a dime. Also if you want a sport utility the 250, just a sport? Then the 350. If you want to throw mud like a bat outta hell go with the 350, If you go through the gears you wont stay stuck or get stuck.
