If you go 2 different colors, expect to pay around $250-$300 including a bead blast. Check on exriders.com on for a man named Chris Waters, he does very custom coating and has fair prices. He also has a lot of pics of his work and he has a very good reputation on the huge exriders.com website.

Yeah, the candy colors cost the most. I paid $250.00 for a 3-stage power coat (metallic cream blue with clear coat

Maybe I am boring but I like the plain old stock colors...Red frame and gold swingarm, nothing fancy.

    Is this a deal?

A little update....I took my swingarm to have it powdercoated....as close to he original as possible but the outdoor colors offered werent close. They had and indoor mettalic gold that was almost perfect just a little snazzier cause of the mettalic. The closest outdoor color was gonna be $80 to blast and powder coat the swingarm but it turns out I went to school with the guys son so he cut me a deal. He ordered the custom mettalic gold and is gonna blast it, coat it mettalic gold and clear coat it for the originally quoted $80. Did I get a deal?? Cause it felt like I did.

    Yes.

When they go to coat the frame (I am assuming you will have it done later) try to do the sandblasting yourself if possible. Around here half of the cost of powdercoating is sandblasting the parts.

Its a thought but how I am I to sand blast with no equipment to do so? Is renting the equipment cheaper that having them do it? This is gonna sound kinda stupid but I really like the factory stickers on the frame and was wondering if I could get a new set from soemwhere to put back on after powdercoating or could they possible be coated around....Hmmmm?

I don't think anything will cover well enough to survive through the heat. I rented a 100lb sandblaster and quick recovery air compressor. It was about 32$ a day and 7$ for a 40lb bag of media. It took 6hrs. to sandblast a Toyota bed inside and out and about 12 bags o sand. You probably need about 4 bags. They are heavy, they make a mess wherever you do it, if the lens on the hood is scratched it sucks, if the porcelin nossel gets dropped it breaks. if the compressor gets water in the sand your fluked, if you blast yourself it sucks! Not much fun, oops I forgot that the silica sand also causes cancer but only in California so you'll be AOK!! :-D LOL

Renting the equipment would be a lot more, probably. I was only suggesting it if you had access to such equipment or if you had a buddy that could do it as a favor.

As far as the decals go, I am looking here at my microfiche printouts and I cannot find anything for the decals on the frame. There are two of them, right? One on the right hand side rail under the seat about emissions, and one on the side of the tripple tree tube that has the manufacturing year. As far as I can tell, there aren't any replacements from Honda.

    paints

    atc86r. i used a brand called " pj1 coatings, fast black, engine + case paint " 500 degree (probly max )
very happy how my 350x motor turned out. seems to resist gas on it cuz my pos temp tank dribblrd on the left side for a day or two. it didn't bubble up or smear off ( i let the gas evaporate first )
comes in satin, gloss and i paid 7.50 from off the shelf at a honda dealer.
yellow and black spray can and i used 1 1/4 cans on my motor.
