    yamaha 440

can't remember exactly what it was but I had a fan-cooled 1972 yamaha ,think it was a GP433? Kinda dating myself but in 1980 it was clocked at 108 by radar on the canal. Untill the liquid cooled Kawasakis came out there was not many sleds would stay w/ it. no fun to ride; only wanted to run WIDE open- only way the twin carbs would stay in sync...

Like a year or two ago, you could look in the Bargain Finder and find a Big-Red for $400...now some are selling for $2000

Anyways "My Trike sucks", I've got my eye's on that 79 John Deere Trailfire 440($250), so keep your dirty paws off it

Snowmobile Heaven is in Rimby, here. I can find anything there...half the stuff I made one of my go-carts out of is from there, and everytime one of our Machines needs a part, we go there...but sometimes they can be kind-of overpriced.

Love that garbage finder, half of these sleds are in the darned thing every week! I was up near pigeon lake a few years back and saw a guy who had a literal sled fence around his yard, like every old sled imaginable, in every condition imaginable all lined rupp.

I wouldn't even touch an old sled UNLESS; It is in absolutely mint condition and is collecting dust in my garage, Or ducttaping the throttle wide open, and sending it out through the woods. You guys seriosly need to update. The sleds now days are absolutely incredible how far they have come. Sleds pumping out over 150hp (lc twins) and amazing suspension. I personally can't wait till my new f7 gets in in a couple days!! Then for race season to start with my 440 snopros.

not everyone has 10k to spend on a new sled or even needs something that powerful ! ever thought of that? old sleds are great for bootin around on....and some of them are pretty dam quick for bein 20 years old...saying you should really update is like saying screw 20 year old trikes and go buy a new banshee becuse they have way better suspension and put out way more horse power, but people dont always do that now do they? ,
