    250sx retail in 1985?

    just curious. i am picking one up next friday for 150bucks and a used laptop.

    $1,798.00 for a 1985 200x? I don't think that's right. We paid like $1610 for mine. Don't think we got a discount or anything.

    If you got an 85 SX new for $1610 - you got a steal - We Paid $1498 for a 200S new in December 84 (1985 MOdel). And look at all of the extras you get with the SX....I doubt you got it for $1610

    Those prices are the MSRP. (Manufacturers suggested retail price)
    They always sell for less than MSRP.
    Example: Just bough a box of Winchester shells for $10, the MSRP was like $18 on the website.
    They do the same thing with cars also.

    I know all that. I just could have sworn we had to pay retail and that's what it was. Guess I was wrong. I was 11 years old and so excited I was about to explode so sue me.

    The original bill of sale for mine say $1929 retail then $2044.74 after taxes. The date was 10/25/84.
