yea i did the same thing 83185s and after a while the side case gaskets started to leak again and my surfaces where flat and smooth so i dunno, also the head gasket i got with the kit was not even relitivly close to the size of the old OEM one which i ended up usin becuse the versah one was soo small it was movein around on the base and the exaust valve was smackin it lol

I thought some of the OEM were discontinued?? Or is only the kit discontinued and you can still buy all of them separate?

I am looking for a quality complete engine gasket set and don't want to buy them all separate.

    Any ideas?

geez man id taken that gasket kit back and say it dont fit..unless u had it like upside down or somthin i remember i accidently did that and it wouldnt go on..lol..u may have forced it down for it just to go on..almac u can go to trailprotrailpro local dealer and tell them u want a better quality gasket kit than the vesrahs and ask what they can get..see what trailprotrailpro choices are and then go from there..most of the time with gaskets the nmore the price the better the gasket..(key words...most of the time)

I have not have a problem with Versa gaskets. If anything get the kit and then order just the Honda head gasket, ordering all the gaskets from honda would be very expensive. I order my gaskets from www.denniskirk.com they have Versa, Parts Unlimited, and Moose gaskets.

I have gotten full gasket kits from my dealer oem. There should be a parts list for them. They show them as 2 seperates, one more expensive then the other. Top end and bottom. Look up in partsfish or bike bandit they should be there. I too have had problems with the aftermarket not fitting. It was one gasket I needed, thought I would save a buck ordered a "kit" and got pissed. Now mind you Most of the gaskets in the kit did fit as to I have since used some of the others. But I now shy away from them.

    Gasket Kit B is discontinued.

Gasket Kit A is still available.... it is the top end gaskets.

I guess I will get OEM Kit A and just buy the specific ones I need from B. (They look available only the kit isn't - make ya pay more!!)
